SCHOOL BANDS AND CHOIRS

Following internal auditions, this will be a fantastic selection of what The Marlborough Science Academy has to offer and other local schools from their talented students.

DAYBREAK

Daybreak, a vibrant 6-piece band hailing from Bedfordshire, fuses raw and gritty tones with a powerful melodic touch, crafting a captivating auditory experience.

ELECTRIC UMBRELLA

An incredibly upbeat performance once more from this amazing group of learning disabled adults. We cannot wait for them to bring more of their PURE JOY to M Fest!

GRACE GEORGE

UK-based singer/songwriter Grace George has enjoyed in excess of 20 million streams on Spotify in the past 3 years alone. As well as releasing her own pop and commercial house music, this upcoming artist has a growing collection of 'Acoustic Covers' that have featured on ITV's Love Island and taken her all over the UK and overseas to perform at weddings.

CAPTAIN

Captain are a British alternative rock band from London, who formed in 2004. Influenced by groups such as The Smashing Pumpkins, The Beach Boys, My Bloody Valentine and The Cure, their music has also been compared by critics to Prefab Sprout, The Beautiful South and Deacon Blue. The group achieved success in 2006 with their singles "Broke" and "Glorious", which reached numbers 34 and 30 on the UK Singles Chart respectively. Their debut album, "This Is Hazelville", reached number 23 on the UK Albums Chart in 2006.

THE OVERTURES

The Overtures have spent the past twenty-five years building their reputation as the finest sixties tribute band in the country. You’ll hear every aspect of 60s music from the early beat-pop of The Beatles and The Kinks, the ‘surf' sound of The Beach Boys, the rhythm and blues of The Stones, the folk-rock of the Byrds and Mamas and Papas through to the power of The Who. There is something to please whether you’re a “Hippy”, “Mod” or “Rocker”!

THE BRIGHTSIDE KILLERS

The Brightside Killers' attention to detail is intense, with their sets featuring authentic tones and sequenced studio sounds to emulate 'The Killers' own, the stage wear, the instruments, extra musicians, set choice and decoration* (including the Killers own famous 'K' keyboard stand), it's all present and correct. Above all though, the musicianship, energy and atmosphere created is top tier - and as huge fans, they take recreating The Killers wonderful songs and amazing shows very seriously indeed.
